A hooded and helmeted man, a solitary hero, develops a metaphor centred around a singular posture.
His body sheathed in leather, he creates a work of articulation and suspension seen entirely from the back. Totally on his own, he breaks with the need to communicate, asserting a relationship to the world that is completely open to interpretation.

"I would define the solo as the substratum of a collective experience - an attitude towards the group, or a choreographic focus. Every time I perform on stage, even in a solo, the goal is to share the experience, thus my fascination with forms of absence and naming that which is outside oneself.
While Christian has been a performer in many of my projects in the past, I asked him to be the choreographer here to show how he would use me as a performer - because I have learned so much from him in the reverse situation."

"This was a chance to revive our past history and the solo form as well. What does a person alone on stage evoke in the minds of the people who have come to see him? I watched Rachid improvising, and we built up a relationship of trust from there. Our exchange took the form of a perceptive experiment."
